Mehndi paste preparation Sieve mehndi powder using Siever for atleast three times. Take mehndi powder in a bowl. Usually glass bowl is used. It is also believed that iron bowl creates a chemical reaction and produces a rich brown stain. I have tried glass,plastic and iron. All are safe for skin. Boil tea,cloves and cardamom in water.Add lemon juice and sugar to it. Add essential oil to mehndi powder and add the tea water. Mix everything together. Let it rest in warm place for atleast 12 hrs for dye release. Mix everything again and add water if needed. Mehndi is ready for cone preparation.
