What is mehndi/henna/marudhani?
Mehndi is a form of temporary tattoo applied on women's hands during functions,festivals and weddings. This art is applied using dried leaves of henna plant.
Based on the style,henna is classified as rajvadi style,Arabic style,gulf style.
In Rajasthan elaborate and intricate mehndi is applied to bride grooms too. In other parts of India simple mehndi applied on groom's palms alone.
